I remember first seeing Sang-Moon Bae in 2012 at the Match Play where he played amazingly until he ran into Rory Mcilroy. I thought then and there this is one sweet swing. It's very rhythmical and is pleasing to the eye at full speed. He has a swing where he very much "gets behind it" with the upper body with a more classical action and has a somewhat bend left arm through impact. It's a swing that very much reminds me of Lee Westwood coming into the ball. He very much starts his swing with his hips as he powers the club through beautifully. Lastly it looks like he has a very quick hand-set off the ball which is a bit unusual, but something I also prefer as it helps my backswing from getting too long. He plays with a fairly neutral to slightly closed clubface which I prefer to an open face. Lastly he keeps his head still, behind the ball, but also out over the ball, there's no pullback with the body.
His win at the HP Byron Nelson was impressive, holding off Keegan Bradley by 2 shots. Shooting 69 in those very tough conditions was impressive, especially after doubling 9 and then bogeying 10, to have the mental strength to just keep grinding was great.
One last thing I found intriguing is that he doesn't use one of Callaway's premium balls, or even a tour only premium ball, but uses an off the shelf version of the Hex Chrome+, very interesting.
